The Wizard of Oz

This is a Project Page for
the Final Exam Prompt Book

First, we developed a concept PowerPoint that collected ideas for how our production style and set might look.

​We then started adding ideas for our production  elements, like costumes, makeup, and special effects.

Stage Model

Next, we designed the set for a single scene and setting.  To show our work, we created a scale model of the HC stage and put in materials and set pieces, backgrounds and whatever else the scene requires onstage.

Costume Design

Costuming is another important area in technical theatre. We needed to design and sketch out our ideas for the main actors and chorus.

We decided to use costumes from ​the 1920's-1930's to give the play more of a vintage vibe. The cut of the dress' and the top hats with he vests gave off a really neat look along with the fur coats. 

Makeup

Make up, especially the proper stage make up, is important through out technical theater. Making sure all the features for a specific character; Dorothy, the Tin Man, Scarecrow, etc., are easily identified through shading, the right colors choices, and proper use of make up materials.
